Quick-Step ReadyFlor Timber Floors

ReadyFlor is pre-finished engineered floor made of sustainable materials with hardwoods selected as environmentally friendly. The flooring comprises three layers of timber permanently fused together. This is done using high quality heat-cure adhesive technology. Each layer is attached in opposing grain directions for optimum strength and extraordinary dimensional stability.

The top layer is a sawn solid timber hardwood and is coated with 6 coats of SRT (scratch-resistant technology) UV lacquer for maximum durability. This makes the floor suitable for commercial and residential applications.This layer is as re-coatable and re-sandable as most conventional solid floorboards.

The bottom layer of the floor, made from plantation timbers, stabilises the overall construction and provides a durable and workable surface to ensure trouble-free installation.

The core is made of solid hardwood - the environmentally friendly Rubberwood giving the floor greater dimensional stability.

ReadyFlor boards can be laid as a floating floor over an approved underlay (the quickest and easiest method of installation) or glued directly to the sub-floor.

Recent developments have enabled the introduction of ReadyFlor Uniclic utilising the best glue-free joining system in the world. This provides a remarkably quick installation and stronger, neater joints between the boards. Every board joins together beautifully leaving no unsightly gaps after installation. Uniclic has hidden strength and ensures that the planks click together to form a solid, lasting connection every time. This also allows for simple replacement of planks, often avoiding the need for messy re-sanding and finishing.

Colour variations  

Colour images are an indication only, as timber is a natural product and the colour varies.  The flooring is graded according to Australian Standard AS2796.2 Moderate Feature and Better.  The Australian collection of flooring will feature a greater level of knots, insect trails, cracks and gum veins, in the line with the natural characteristics of Australian Eucalyptus hardwood.  Species like Kempas, Blackbutt, Red Ironwood and Spotted Gum are more prone to surface checking (fine cracks in the surface of the floor) than other species.
